Who We Are

Our Mission

Your school-specific site is built and maintained by the nonprofit Callisto and provided to you by your school. We seek to ensure that you have the information and options you need to make the decision that is right for you.

Callisto envisions a world where sexual assault is rare and survivors are supported. Our mission is to create technology that combats sexual assault by empowering survivors to protect their communities. We believe that everyone deserves access to information, resources, and reporting options that put the needs, comfort, and safety of survivors first.

Our Team

The Callisto platform is created by survivors, for survivors. Callisto is a nonprofit that creates technology to combat sexual assault, empower survivors, and advance justice. At Callisto, we envision a world where sexual assault is rare and survivors receive the support they need.

In the aftermath of sexual assault, Callisto equips higher education institutions to rebuild broken trust by enabling survivors to make the reporting decision best for them and by improving the outcome of reports.

The Callisto Team is a passionate group of individuals who collectively aim to end sexual assault on college campuses. We intentionally attract, select, develop, and retain individuals who represent a multitude of identities and backgrounds. Our diverse team has a broad range of experiences, but we are bound together by our commitment to supporting individuals who are impacted by sexual assault.

Partnering with Campuses

Callisto partners with colleges and universities to provide campus-specific platforms for student survivors to create a record of what happened to them, to enter their perpetrator into Matching and help identify repeat offenders, and to learn about existing on- and off-campus resources.

Callisto is unique because it offers options for survivors that schools cannot provide internally, due to compliance regulations such as FERPA and Title IX. When your school partners to become a Callisto Campus, they commit to prioritizing the needs of survivors through unique options such as protecting your community by entering perpetrators into our Matching system to identify repeat offenders.

Since Callisto is a separate entity, the information you enter into the Callisto system will not be shared with your school unless you choose to share it. Read on to learn about our commitment to the security of you and your information.
